Three Defenses in the Festive Season: Congratulations to Our Newest PhDs

This December, just in time for the holidays, our lab had the joy of celebrating three successful PhD defenses! Vishnu even learned how to open a champagne bottle as part of the “unofficial requirements” of finishing his PhD. Austin enjoyed his special day surrounded by family who came to visit. Raj completed his defense remotely from UCSB. We all gathered online for a lively round of Skribbl to mark the occasion. It’s been a journey for each of them, and we couldn’t be prouder to toast their achievements before Christmas!
